Salesforce Einstein GPT

In a press release Salesforce has announced the launch of the world's first AI-powered customer relationship management (CRM) technology called Einstein GPT. It uses generative AI models to deliver personalized content across all interactions with customers, from sales to service, marketing, commerce, and IT. The technology can generate specific responses for customer service teams, personalized emails for salespeople, targeted content for marketers, and code for developers.

Einstein GPT is infused with Salesforce's proprietary AI models and generative AI technology from a network of partners, and real-time data from the Salesforce Data Cloud, which consolidates customer data. By connecting this data to OpenAI's advanced AI models, users can generate natural language prompts directly within their Salesforce CRM to create content that adapts to changing customer needs in real-time.

To promote the responsible and trusted development of AI, Salesforce Ventures has launched a $250 million Generative AI Fund, which will invest in high-potential startups to bolster the startup ecosystem and spark the development of AI.

The technology is designed to improve customer engagement and personalization. RBC US Wealth Management's Head of Tech, Greg Beltzer, said embedding AI into its CRM had delivered significant operational efficiencies for its advisors and clients. The technology has the potential to transform the way businesses interact with their customers, deliver personalized experiences, and drive customer loyalty.

Salesforce is integrating OpenAI's enterprise-grade ChatGPT technology with its own private AI models to deliver relevant and trusted AI-generated content. Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, said that this would allow more people to benefit from AI technology and provide real-world usage insights, which are crucial for responsible AI development and deployment.
